George Gregan, AM made more appearances for his national side, the Wallabies, than any other player in the sports history. George is respected throughout the rugby world for his tenacity, tactical skill, leadership and sportsmanship.

On the Field

  • 139 Tests for Australia, 59 Caps as Captain of the Wallabies
  • Captained the Wallabies between 2001 – 2007
  • Most Capped Australian Captain of all time
  • Member of the 1994 and 1998 – 2008 Bledisloe Cup winning side
  • Member of the 1999 Rugby World Cup winning side
  • Member of the 2000 and 2001 Tri Nations Series winning side
  • First person to record 100 Super 12 Caps

 
Off the Field

Since retiring at the end of the 2010-11 season, George has gone on to;

  • Become a coaching consultant for the Brumbies
  • Serve on the Rugby Australia board
  • Commentate rugby union and anchor ‘The Other Rugby Show’ for Fox Sports
  • Own and manage a cafe and catering business – the Gregan Group with wife Erica
  •  Set up The George Gregan Foundation, raising funds for projects specifically targeting children
  • Ambassador roles with HSBC and PTPfit

 
Achievements 

  • Member of the Order of Australia in 2004 for his services to Rugby Union, in particular as the Captain of the Wallabies
  • Sport Australia Hall of Fame in 2009
  • IRB Hall of Fame in 2013
