Thomas Burgess completed the Burgess quarter after joining his two older brothers, Sam and Luke and twin brother George in playing for the South Sydney Rabbitohs. Since debuting for the side in 2013, Thomas has established himself as one of the premier props in the game.

Thomas began his Rugby League career in the Leeds Rhinos junior development squad and he later went on to play for the Bradford Bulls in 2011. After being offered a one -year contract to join his three brother at the Rabbitohs, Thomas move to Sydney to make his NRL debut. As a result of Thomas’ arrival, the Rabbitohs became the first club in more than a century to field a team featuring four brothers.

The impact of the four Burgess brothers was significant and the South Sydney Rabbitohs went on to win the 2014 NRL Grand Final, defeating the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs 30-6. Thomas was an integral member of the premiership winning side and helped break the clubs 43 year premiership drought.

In 2013, Thomas made his international debut for England at the Rugby League World Cup and has since gone on to play 14 tests for his country. Thomas played a key role in England’s Test Series win over New Zealand and in 2016 he was selected and played in all 3 Four Nations test matches. In 2017, Thomas has been a regular in the Rabbitohs starting side and he was once again chosen to represent his country against Samoa.
